In this episode, Gordon Rochford from Those Conspiracy Guys joins the podcast to talk about the 2004 film, The Butterfly Effect; the moral and philosophical quandaries of time travel, and the reality of chaos theory.

The Butterfly Effect is a 2004 American science fiction film starring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart. The title refers to a popular (and often misunderstood) hypothetical theory that illustrates how small initial differences may lead to large unforeseen consequences over time.

Come with us on a most excellent adventure to record the podcast that unites the world.

With the release of Bill & Ted Face the Music, we thought it was about time we looked at the 80s classic that spawned a generation of copy cats and introduced the world to Keanu Reeves. Can we survive a journey through the circuits of time? What figures from history would we bring back to be guests on the podcast? And how would they feel about life in 2020?

Bird Box

Sandramania is running wild! This week, we're not just on lockdown, we've got to keep our eyes shut. Can we survive in a world where even opening our eyes means certain death? Probably not, but we'll sure as hell try.

Bird Box is a 2018 American post-apocalyptic horror film starring the legendary Sandra Bullock. In it, a mysterious force decimates the population and only one thing is certain -- if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that pushes it's prey to madness and suicide.... And you thought Covid-19 was bad?

Speed

As COVID-19 shows no sign of slowing down, we join you from our respective bunkers to talk about another Sandra Bullock classic, Speed. It also stars some other guy you might have seen on memes.

Speed of course, is a 1994 action thriller film directed by Jan de Bont. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper, Sandra Bullock, Joe Morton, and Jeff Daniels. It is about a speeding bus that is rigged by a mad bomber to explode if it ever drops below 50 mph.

Demolition Man

Another episode brought to you during the COVID-19 shutdown. Luke from Scapegoat Podcast is back, this time to talk about the 90s action classic Demolition Man. In the film, an evil crime lord and a risk-taking police officer are both cryogenically frozen and reanimated in 2032 to find mainstream society changed and all crime seemingly eliminated. A great example of the "False Utopia" trope found in works like Brave New World.
