This week we take a look at some current events that may or may not be a threat to our future and have a very important announcement.... well, more an announcement of an announcement, but important nonetheless.

We continue our discussion on the fifty ways the world might end.

NOTE: This episode was recorded days before the Machester and Syria attacks, and so neither are mentioned in the discussion of terrorism at the beginning of the episode (08mins 04secs). We would have skipped the topic entirely had it happened before recording but being that the events unfolded the way they did, it would seem dishonest do just edit it out of the conversation. If you find the topic too depressing or are sick of hearing about it, skip to 19mins 16secs.

This week, we test out our Cordyceps resistance, paternal instincts, and rear-naked choke in our most requested episode, The Last of Us.

The Last of Us is a 2013 videogame where the player takes control of Joel, a survivor in a post-apocalyptic America tasked with transporting the 14-year-old Ellie across the country, to a rebel group who think she might be the key to humanities future.

48: Planet of the Apes

This week, we journey across an ocean of stars only to wind up on that god awful Planet of the Apes. Based on the French satirical Novel, La Planète des Singes, Planet of the Apes is a 1968 science-fiction classic about three astronauts marooned on a futuristic planet where apes rule and humans are slaves.

47: Escape from New York

This week, the POTUS needs our help! In exchange for a pardon for our previous crimes (and our iTunes feed reactivated) we travel to New York to save the president and stop a global conflict.

In the film, it's1997, and a major war between the United States and the Soviet Union is concluding. The entire island of Manhattan has been converted into a giant maximum security prison. When Air Force One is hijacked and crashes into the island, the president is taken hostage by a group of inmates. Snake Plissken, a former Special Forces soldier turned criminal, is recruited to retrieve the president in exchange for his own freedom.

46: SnakePocalypse

This week we tackle the most inevitable of apocalyptic scenarios, "What if snakes took over the world?" Would it spell the end of humanity as we know it? or would we be able to do like St. Patrick before us, and banish them into the fiery pits from which they sprang. The only thing that's certain, is we've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking island!

Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, known to have driven the snakes off the island. While not exactly true, it sure makes for an interesting scenario. We talk about it, the real Paddy, how to survive a snake bite, and much more, in this Saint Patrick's Day Special.

44: Old Man Logan/Rogan?

Nobody knows what happened on the night the Internet fell. All we know is that podcasters disappeared with it, and evil triumphed. Johnny and Shane have a plan though: to deliver a package to a rebel group that might be able to restart the Internet and restore the power to the people. But to get there, they're going to need a little help... help from a legend, that maybe... still lives.

Old Man Logan is alternative version of Marvel Comics' popular character Wolverine. This character is an aged Wolverine set in an alternate future universe designated as Earth-807128, where super villains overthrew the superheroes.
